Rossi Win's El Paso County

Calhan, CO. - Three-Time RMMRA Driver Champion Tony Rossi driving the Thunder Custom & Restoration, Doyle Ent. Spike/Mopar drove to victory at El Paso County Fairgrounds in Calhan, CO. Saturday night. 
    With Greg Schaefer and Keith Rauch on the front row, led the field of cars to start the 25 Lap “A” Feature, with Schaefer leading after lap 1.  Schaefer lead until when the caution came out on lap 19 when Scott Fennell and Keith Rauch made contact in turn 4 with Rauch rolling over, Rauch was done for the night.  On the restart, Rossi passed Schaefer for the led going into turn two.  Rossi took a commanding led and when the dust cleared, it was Rossi, Schaefer, Julee Jamison, Butch Middleton and Bob Harr rounding out the top five spots.
    Heat race winners were Bob Harr and Julee Jamison.  Next stop on the schedule will on June 11 at I-76 Speedway in Ft. Morgan, CO.
